Description
Since its roots in ancient Greece, live theatre has attracted large groups of people who prefer to just sit quietly and not get involved while people engage in a sword fight or talk about their problems. Attract an idle audience with today's WagJag: $23 for one ticket to see a performance at the 2014 Barrie International Comedy Festival at the Talk Is Free Theatre (a $45 value).
Talk Is Free Theatre is an artist-driven, award-winning theatre company based in Barrie. As part of the Barrie International Comedy Festival, they're staging two different shows at the Georgian Theatre sure to give your sides a good splitting. On September 17, 2014 join writer, director, comedian and legendary Kid in the Hall, Bruce McCulloch in YOUNG DRUNK PUNK. Bruce’s solo show chronicles his journey from his wild early days in Alberta to his futon nights in Toronto and finally to his pajama-clad dad days in the Hollywood Hills. This laugh-inducing show combines stand-up, live music and real life insights from an infamous Kid.
George Bowser and Rick Blue appear in theatres across Canada bringing laughs and wonderful musical talents. On September 21, 2014 join the duo for their performance in the self-titled Bowser and Blue. The pair have appeared many a time at the Just for Laughs comedy festival, on the Comedy Channel and even for their Christmas special, Two Nuts Roasting on an Open Fire. Please note both shows have an audience advisory.
